হ-বাংলা নিউজ: The North South University Art and Photography Club – NSUAPC is all set to organize the 13th edition of the “International Inter-University Photography Exhibition – IIUPE,” an event that aims to highlight the exceptional skills of photographers worldwide. This exhibition provides a platform for university students from around the globe to showcase their creative talents on an international stage.
The journey of the inter-university photography exhibition – IUPE began in the year 2000 as a national event in Bangladesh. By 2003, it had expanded to the international level, becoming the largest student-organized photography exhibition in South Asia. Over the years, it has successfully hosted exhibitions both inside Bangladesh and in other countries like India, Nepal, Australia.
For this year’s edition, submissions were open for eight different categories, allowing participants to display their skills and artistic vision. Notably, NSUAPC has introduced a category for “Space Photography” or “Astrophotography” for the first time in Bangladesh. This addition aims to provide a platform for budding astrophotographers to exhibit their work and gain recognition.
A panel of distinguished judges will evaluate the entries, including renowned Bangladeshi photographer Saud Al Faisal, Washington DC-based international award-winning photographer Andrew Biraj, and India’s Rohit Vohra, a leading street photographer and co-founder of the magazine APF.
In 2024, they have got 17,750 single photographs from 436 photographers. Students from 352 universities of 48 countries of the world participated in the biggest photography platform for students this time.
The exhibition will take place in multiple venues across India, Nepal, Australia, and Bangladesh. The event will be curated by well-known photographer and curator Jewel Paul.
